A PET psychic has been called in as the search for a missing Glasshouse Mountains dog continues to gain support online.

More than 800 people have formed a Facebook group dedicated to finding missing dog Sammy, who has a litter of seven young pups.

Sammy went missing after running off into bush two weeks ago while on a walk with owner Aubrey McCarthy and the family's other dog, Nala.

Sammy's searchers raised enough money to call in pet psychic Liza Callen, who spoke with Mrs McCarthy yesterday.

The psychic said Sammy was not in the forest and that someone had picked her up, thinking she had been dumped and not aware that she was missing.

She described the man as owning an old brown ute and living in the Peachester area.

If you have information about Sammy's whereabouts, contact the family on 0490 054 949.
