Punters put Labor as underdog

TEN government ministers are set to be kicked out of office at the upcoming state election if the latest betting odds are to be believed.

Sportsbet.com.au has only five of the 15 government ministers contesting the March 24 election as favourites to reclaim their seats.

At the longest odds is Tourism, Manufacturing and Small Business Minister Jan Jarratt of Whitsunday, who is a long $8 to remain in office.

But high profile ministers such as Treasurer Andrew Fraser also seem to be in trouble, paying $3.75 to remain the Mount Coot-tha MP.

Premier Anna Bligh ($1.15) is considered a favourite to hang on to South Brisbane while ministers Karen Struthers ($1.95), Stirling Hinchliffe ($3.10), Phil Reeves ($6.50), Simon Finn ($2.05), Craig Wallace ($2.05), Cameron Dick ($3.20) and Geoff Wilson ($6.50) are all tipped to lose their seats.
