Fire on Hartington St under control

UPDATE 4pm: CREWS have left the scene at around lunchtime, leaving the property in the hands of the owner at 3.34pm.

UPDATE 10am: THE fire on Lakes Creek Rd is now under control after it was attended by four crews.

QFES spokesmen on the scene indicated the blaze may have been started by a tractor.

A significant amount of smoke remains in the area.

BREAKING 9.30pm: THE Queensland Fire and Emergency Services are responding to reports of a grass fire on Hartington St, Lakes Creek Rd.

Reports suggest a tractor has been engulfed.

It is not believed any houses are in danger,
