Rain buckets down on Rocky roofs

THE rain was bucketing down on the roofs of homes in Rockhampton last night, but we only received 12mm of rain.

The Bureau of Meteorology reports Rockhampton copped that amount in 24 hours to 9am this morning.

Mt Larcom was battered with 40.2mm, but that was nothing compared to several areas north and South of Townsville, like Ingham and Proserpine, where more than 100mm of rain was recorded.

Rockhampton received 22mm from Friday to Sunday, Yeppoon received 27.2mm and Emerald recorded 20.4mm.
