VIDEO: Rally raises dust and $400,000 dollars for disabled

AFTER 3000kms and over $400,000 raised, 72 teams from the 2015 Great Endeavour Rally cruised into Rockhampton on Saturday amid cheers and fanfare, especially from some very excited Endeavour clients.

The teams started their epic journey in Redcliff the previous Saturday and headed through drought-ravaged Western Queensland before shaking off the dust through Central Queensland to Airlie Beach and eventually onto the Fiztroy Riverbank.

Brenda and Bernie Hyland travelled from NZ to take part and said the journey was wild and hairy at times but they'd seen some rugged places most poeple would never see.

But other than a roo here and a tyre there, the journey was relatively incident free.

The focus is now on next year's event, a thrilling 10-day journey from Ipswich, across the state to the red centre and Uluru.
