Random breath test after day of fishing lands man in court

A DAY fishing ended badly for Norman Bernard Barraclough when he failed a breath test.

Barraclough was supervising the driving of his adult son, who was on his learner's licence, when police pulled the vehicle over for a random breath test on Port Alma Rd on May 10.

The court heard Barraclough returned a reading of 0.067 and told police he had consumed eight or nine beers over the fishing trip.

He was fined $450 in court on Friday.
