Rate rises remain small in other council areas

Isaac Regional Council:

Rate rise of 2.2% for ratepayers in principal place of residence.

$37.5million in new capital works in essential infrastructure.

Central Highlands Regional Council:

The average residential ratepayers will see a total rate rise of 1.5%, with a general rate increase of 2%.

Allocation of $72million for capital projects, including $22million for roadworks and $10million for the Blackwater Aquatic Centre.

Mackay Regional Council:

No rate rise.

$101million to fund capital infrastructure, including $48.9million on roads.

Livingstone Shire Council:

Draft budget expected to be handed down in mid-July.

Brisbane City Council:

Average increase in rates for owner-occupier residential and commercial properties was 2.5%.

$524million for suburban infrastructure investment.
