REACHING the modern child isn't as easy as it used to be, so Santa's had to reinvent the classic chimney drop this year.
Saint Nick sent out his helpers to get some last minute training by cascading down the side of Maroochydore's Catalina Resort.
It started out as a joke between Alltech Industrial Abseilers owners Jason Dobinson and Jared Woodbine, but quickly turned into one of the best marketing stunts of 2015.
Do you go searching for Christmas lights each year?
This poll ended on 23 December 2015.
Yes, it's the perfect way to get in the Christmas spirit.
No, I don't have kids anymore so don't bother.
I'm too busy with my own light display I don't get to see any others.
This is not a scientific poll. The results reflect only the opinions of those who chose to participate.
The boys usually clean windows for high rises all over the Coast, but got a last-minute call up to help Santa deliver a batch of lollies.
"He'd like to be here today, but unfortunately they don't make harnesses in his size so he has to get us to help him out," Jared said.
"Poor old Santa, he's struggling to fit down chimneys and now he's got to squeeze into one of these harnesses - they only come in XXXL."
They may need to get more training off Santa before the real run as Jared crashed into a retaining wall on entrance.
"It was a bit of a rough landing to be honest, you've got to worry about getting your beard caught on the descender," he said.
"We'll be strictly work and no pleasure now - Christmas Eve is the busiest time of the year, obviously."
The boys had to find last-minute Santa-certified costumes and do another four-hour job before heading to the Catalina Resort.
"We were like, 'quick, get down to the shop and get some costumes for us,' then we were racing around trying to get another building done so we could get down here," Jared said.
"We planned on doing the work itself in the suits too, but I think we're going to have to get rid of these beards."
Another four hours of manual labour in 30 degree heat and Jared was done for the day.
"I left the boys to finish the job," he said.
"It's pretty stressful getting ready for this and then working in the scorching heat all day, we normally do it earlier.
"It's cold beer time."
