We asked readers on Facebook: Yes or no: should Queensland have daylight saving?

Rebecca Williamson Hill - If you want daylight saving, move to NSW!
Jo Hosking - I hope the government does not fall for this 3 year olds hopes. After all it was read from cards her parents are holding. But we are Queensland so why do we need to follow every body else. I know i dont want daylight saving. Noooo thank you.
Katie Wilkes - What have her parents brainwashed her ?! They can keep their daylight savings.. I hate it. Lived in NSW for 13 years and cannot see what person in their right mind in QLD would need it .. If the government wants to introduce it maybe they should let each and every single QLD'er vote to decide.. Should not be some BS pushed thru parliament and just done coz the pollies want it .. GET REAL !!!
Paul Barry James Phillips - Dear bully stop promoting daylight saving no one wants it.
Melissa Clews - What crap. How could a 3 year old possibly make such a suggestion? Over parental influence perhaps. Qld doesn't need daylight savings. ..... we're the SMART state!!!!!!
Tristan Thompson I just moved up here from NSW. Daylight savings is a ridiculous idea and nobody in NSW likes it. Qld should remain the way it is. It's residents are happy besides a 3 year old who's parents are probably weirdos anyways.
Frances Pujolas - No thanks - defeated both times at referendum - even ppl in nsw didn't like it when I was there - ita already light late here - most ppl in hot qld don't want daylight at 9pm
Jay Edamunso - How would she even understand daylight saving?
At 3 really...wow.?!?
Karen Ferry - I suppose Ella lives down in the South East, what would she know about daylight saving. Why keep flogging this dead horse, NO was decided in all the other surveys.
Amy Shepherd - Seriously! Using your child to voice your opinion. I'm pretty sure most kids get up between 5 and 6 in the morning that's part of being a parent. Have you tried getting kids to bed intone middle of summer at 7pm when the sun is still up...it's horrible! So it would be 8pm before the sun goes down. No way!!

Should there be a new referendum on daylight saving in Qld?
