READERS DISCUSS: Worst school zones in Rockhampton region

AFTER the recent discussion about the worst roundabouts in the region, The Bulletin is now looking for readers' opinions about the worst school zones.

Here are some nominations by readers from Facebook on Tuesday afternoon:

Tamarah White - Frenchville state school because there are limited streets accessing the school. Took me about 30 minutes one day to get from Geordie St onto Frenchville Rd. Then there is the line up to turn into the pick up zone opposite Beasley St that holds up everyone one else trying to go straight along Frenchville Rd

Kate Stephenson - I always have people flying up behind me or sitting right on my tail in every school zone. It does my head in. The worst I drive everyday though would have to be the zone on North St for The Hall school...this is despite two lollipop people being clearly visible in the median strip. Slow down, there are kids everywhere there in the afternoons!

Vanessa Flint - I find the outside the special school in Dean street horrible - the amount of cars that sit on 60 there instead of 40 is ridiculous and its outside a police station. They need to set up cameras there, they would make a fortune!

Kate Stephenson - Dean St would have been my next choice. They should just camp outside their station at school time.
