READERS DISCUSS: Climate change - fact or propaganda?

A READER has written this in a letter to the editor. "There is no disagreement about climate change. It has existed since the first day the Earth was created.

"The weather changes every day, sometimes good, sometimes bad.

"The only disagreement is that the weather is influenced by the carbon dioxide generated by man, and the answer is an emphatic no."

Here are what readers had to say on Facebook:

Scott Hutton - Darn that UN and their plight for world domination...

Daz Bambrick - So in the interest of balance, will the bulletin also run an article by a qualified climate scientist, or are letters to the editor now news items?

Ian G French - Denying the scientific evidence is a dangerous undertaking for the ignorant. Start by looking at the Antarctic ice core samples which track the climate back 10's of thousands of years. Since the birth of the industrial evolution there is a direct corrolation to co2 levels & atmospheric temperatures rising. Who did that I wonder?

Mark Kennedy - For the people who believe CO2 created by people is causing our climate to change, Why then has our wonderful careing govt. selling our coal to China so they can pollute the air and then have the audacity to charge us a carbon tax? And then, drop the tax because it is proven to be one of the world biggest con jobs?

Keith Hutton - Nice conspiracy... But every bit of science points to the contrary.

Mark Kennedy - Conspiracy? Australia is selling our country and coal to China. This is not a conspiracy, it is a fact. Carbon tax, a fact. Global warming started as a university theory experiment. Question! Why then is our planets temperature dropping? Update your science facts.

Peter Turner - Where is that peer reviewed data that the earths temperature is falling mark ?? Yet to see any except from conspiracy theory blogs which are not peer reviewed.
