READER'S VIEW: Hypocrisy over those pork-barrelling claims

IT IS a bit hypocritical of Annastacia Palaszczuk claiming that the funding for the Panorama bypass road at Yeppoon was a "rort and pork-barrelling" for the seat held by the previous LNP government.

I suggest that she take a long, hard look at the previous and present Labor government's funding handouts to past and present Labor-held seats, in relation to their funding handouts to opposition electorates that were held and are now being held.

Of course Margaret Strelow had to jump on the criticism bandwagon, but she has conveniently forgotten the multi-million dollar handout to Rockhampton by the previous Labor government for the Fitzroy River redevelopment, which she then sidetracked somewhere else, then had the gall and audacity to whinge and stamp her feet when refused more government funding which is a typical Rockhampton attitude.

I did not hear any grandstanding or criticism from the coast residents when Rockhampton received this funding, which shows the maturity of coast residents.
