READER'S VIEW: ‘Stop the mosque’ slogan is plain silly

RECENTLY a person sent an SMS confusing the roof of the Customs House in Quay St with the roof of a mosque.

The first buildings with domed roofs were basilicas built in the ancient Roman Empire, some centuries before Islam started.

A person in Townsville has started a campaign to stop building mosques.

Many people in Central Queensland, including some of my ancestors, have been worshipping God here for 150 years.

The slogan "Stop the mosque" is just plain silly.
