Reports: Brisbane explosives home had 'terror maps'

A BRISBANE property filled with explosives also allegedly contained maps with targets drawn in Sydney and Newcastle, according to media reports.

Police carried out 17 controlled detonations at the vacant Pullenvale home last week after a real estate agent unwittingly stumbled across other suspicious items on Wednesday night, leading to officers discovering the explosives haul.

The former tenant, Daniel Fing, is in police custody in New South Wales on unrelated matters.

Mr Fing, who is yet to be charged over the find, has a prior conviction for blowing up his ex-girlfriend's lover's car in Newcastle.

According to Nine News, investigators located 29 kilograms of chemicals and 22 litres of liquid explosives in the Pullenvale home on Red Cedar Road.
