REVEALED: Future of historic Coast hotel

THE businessman behind a co-shared office space at Mooloolaba is taking his idea to Nambour's landmark Club Hotel.

The upstairs of the 1940s hotel is being transformed into office space by Keith Grisman, founder of The Boarding Office.

In a video posted on The Boarding Office's Facebook page, Mr Grisman said the upstairs of the pub was being transformed into 20 individual office suites.

Outback Jacks occupied the downstairs of the pub, on the corner of Mill and Currie streets, for three years until a couple of months ago.

In the video, Mr Grisman said the pub, "being an old boarding house, fits in lovely with our brand, the Boarding Office, and the design of it really suited the way we want to see a co-shared office space work."

"We chose the building because I love the art deco style so again, I think there's a real opportunity to work with something here."

The original club hotel was built in the early part of last century but burnt down and was rebuilt in an art deco style by the 1940s and extended in the 1960s.

Mr Grisman said the new offices upstairs would be of varying sizes, accommodating two to three desks up to teams of six or eight, and would be served by a common open-plan kitchen and individual boardroom and meeting room.
