Roads stay closed

LAST week's torrential rain meant roads around the region were still closed yesterday.

Gladstone Regional Council released information in the morning showing dozens of closures from Raglan down to Baffle Creek and out beyond Calliope.

At the time of print last night, no accidents had been reported as caused by flooded roads.

Emergency services were involved in a search on Friday when a truck driver said he was worried a number of cars might have been washed away crossing a section of flooded road in Colusseum.

No cars were found and the search was called off.

The Weeroona Road Bridge, north of Old Coach Rd, has been closed indefinitely due to a failed deck.
