Roar to keep up the fight against the Wanderers

FOOTBALL: Brisbane Roar defender Shane Stefanutto looked on with pride last Friday night as his teammates fought back from being a goal down to defeat Melbourne Heart on a hot and humid night.

 

He believes those qualities will serve his team well against the third-placed Western Sydney Wanderers at the intimidating Pirtek Stadium on Saturday night.

"It was a bit of a slow start. Maybe that was a hangover from the week before (after wrapping up the Premier's Plate with a late winner against the Victory). But credit to the boys," Stefanutto (pictured) said. "After the game you could see they were soaked in sweat and had lost three or four kilos. You're just so proud of them and what they can achieve."

Stefanutto said Ivan Franjic (ankle) could return this weekend, while feeling for a shattered Besart Berisha, who will miss the Wanderers clash after being given a third red card of the season.
