Rob and Dave hope to return to our screens after MKR exit
QUEENSLAND'S shake and bake boys have cooked their way out of My Kitchen Rules.
Brisbane mates Rob and Dave were eliminated from the popular reality cooking show last night.
It was the men's second sudden-death cook-off of the week but they were unable to turn their experience under the pressure of elimination into an advantage.
"The more time you spend on the dance floor the better you are at preparing three, three-course meals so we thought we were in with a big shot," Dave told APN.
"Apparently it was the highest score for a team to go out on."
The humorous blokes, who are also keen fisherman, hope to land their own TV show.
"We like being in front of the cameras and having a bit of fun with it," Dave said.
"We've got a bit of a storyboard together with Channel 7 for a new cooking show, but it comes down to whether or not they pick it up."
The mates want to continue their mission of teaching "average punters" how to cook.
"We don't want to be chefs or own a restaurant or anything," he said.
"We want to continue the theme of teaching blokes how to cook."
Rob and Dave will now barrack for fellow Queenslanders Jac and Shaz, from Mount Isa, and British expats Will and Steve as the show continues.
"Will and Steve are good blokes," Rob said.
"We struck up a good rapport with them. Will's a card and old Steve's a smooth character."
My Kitchen Rules is now on a break over the Easter non-ratings period and will return on Monday April 6.
