Emu Park man still losing sleep after his dog was stolen
TWO months after his dog was stolen, Robert Barlow is "still losing sleep at night".
The little Jack Russell terrier was a gift from his son and quickly became a much-loved member of the family, following Robert everywhere.
So Robert was devastated when one morning he found his little mate had been taken from her kennel.
The kennel was inside a cage, with water and food, near Robert's shed.
On Saturday, September 6, Robert put his dog to bed like any other night.
The next morning, Robert found the door to the cage open and the Jack Russell gone.

He searched all over his Emu Park property, but didn't find any trace of his dog or the jacket she'd been wearing.
After a few days, Robert reported the theft to the Emu Park Police.
Anxious to see his little Jack Russell again, Robert said he would also offer a reward to anyone who could help bring her home.
"She was a really good mate to me and my wife," Robert said.
"I'm determined to put up a big effort to inquire into animal theft and cruelty.
"The only thing that will lesson my push to have the perpetrators caught would be to get my dog back."
He described her loss as "heartbreaking" and said he hated not knowing how she was being treated.
Senior Constable Doug King from the Emu Park Police said Robert's case was the only dog theft they were aware of in the area.
He said it was possible there were more, but police had not received any other reports.
Snr Const King said it was "very unusual" for dogs to be stolen in the same way Robert's was.
