AN early morning bike ride took a bad turn for a 43-year-old woman and a young man, 17, in Lakes Creek Rd this morning.

Rockhampton ambulance officers raced to a railway crossing in Lakes Creek Rd, where one of the riders fell off a bike.

An ambulance spokesman say the rider is believed to have lost control at the railway crossing.

The rider sustained abrasions and other minor injuries, and was transported to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition.

The spokesman could not confirm which rider was transported to the hospital.
