ENGLISH woman Hayley Mills believes Rockhampton has the potential to refashion itself into the state's biggest vintage city.

She's starting her campaign by rallying support from fellow rockabilly pin-up girls who want to strut their stuff in vintage fashion.

Hayley tightened her curls at the weekend, dusted off her poodle skirt and adorned her hair with extravagant head pieces to meet with other vintage fashionistas for lunch at Kershaw Gardens.

The women called the event Pinups in the Park.

Hayley always felt good wearing 40s, 50s and 60s rockabilly fashion around town because she would get a great confidence boost.

"I don't wear this sort of fashion all the time, but I feel fabulous when I do," she said.
