Rockhampton Jockey Club appoints an interim manager
ROCKHAMPTON Jockey Club has appointed an interim manager Lucy McIntosh.
Ms McIntosh's appointment is to cover the period until newly-appointed CEO Bill Colgan starts on December 9.
Ms McIntosh is the club development officer for Racing Queensland.
RJC Chairman Bill Ouston said Ms McIntosh brought with her a strong knowledge of race club operations that would be most beneficial to the RJC.
Ms McIntosh said in her short-term role with the RJC she was focussed on setting up operations for the incoming CEO and ensuring all the relevant processes were in place.
Another key focus, said Ms McIntosh, was the execution of all race days and events including Knight Frank Melbourne Cup Day at Callaghan Park to the standard RJC and patrons expect.
Earlier this week the RJC announced the appointment of Bill Colgan as CEO on a minimum three-year contract.
