Rockhampton man arrested for threats to Obama's vehicle

A PARK Avenue man was arrested last night after allegedly making threats online regarding Barack Obama's vehicle at the G20.

The 21-year-old was charged with using a carrier service to menace or harass, with the threats allegedly posted on a blog.

The man was located last night at a Park Avenue residence and after a police investigation it was declared that the threats were unsubstantiated and he was released from custody with conditions.

The man will appear in court next month.
