Rockhampton Show dates set for 2016

PREPARATIONS are well underway for the Rockhampton Show next year.

The Rockhampton Agricultural and Citizens Show Society say there's exciting ideas underway and they can confirm the Rockhampton Saloon Car Club will entertain the crowd on Friday night.

The dates for the Show are June 15, 16 & 17 which is Wednesday to Friday.

The society have not received official confirmation yet on the Show Holiday but have elected June 16 as the date of choice.

The Show Society will be holding their Annual General Meeting on November 21 at 2pm in the Robert Schwarten Pavilion and invite all financial members and general public who are interested to attend.

Association President Mr Robert Smith said running the Rockhampton Agricultural Show was never going to be easy but the small group of volunteers who make up the management committee, worked tirelessly to put this wonderful event together and I think we did a remarkable job for our first time.

"The level of assistance did not stop just with our management committee, we had a wonderful show of support from community members who willing gave of their time to assist throughout the show. From judges, stewards, labourers, electricians to our volunteers who assisted with the operations of the show," he said.
