Rockhampton's QML "not going anywhere"

QML PATHOLOGY'S Wayne Pederick wants to remind customers that the Rockhampton centre isn't going anywhere.

The Regional Branch Manager said the company had been inundated with concerned calls since Central Queensland Medicare Local (CQML) announced they would be closing at the end of this month.

"They (CQML) sent out a letter to all their patients advising that they are closing, unfortunately because of the abbreviation, we have been getting inquiries about closing down; and we're not," he said.

"We're here, we're not going anywhere. We've just had our 21st birthday."

Staff members Garry Williams and Betty Brock are even celebrating their second and third decades with the company.

Garry had been with QML since the Rockhampton centre's opening in 1994.
