Brand new Rockhampton MyPolice blog went live at lunch time
3.20pm: THE newly launched Rockhampton MyPolice Blog will not just be a police tool.
Queensland Police Minister Jack Dempsey said other emergency services will be incorporated into the blog site for emergency situations.
The blog will also incorporate Neighbourhood Watch groups' news and meeting information.
Mr Dempsey said police officers, mainly senior officers, will be able to 'blog' from the scene of accidents and other incidents.
He said this would result in more eyes and ears out in the community looking for offenders or missing people.
