Live Out Loud Festival attempts to break world record

THE Live Out Loud Festival is attempting to break the world record for the largest Spiderman gathering tomorrow night and wants you to be a part of it.

One of the organisers of the Rockhampton event, Jireh Tekki, said anyone from the community was welcome at the two-day festival at the Lighthouse Baptist Church, which promoted activities for youth.

The Friday night festival will be held from 6pm to 9pm and entry is free, with food available for the world record attempt. The first 400 through the gate get a free costume. There will also be live music, a skate demo, and a three vs three basketball comp.

Saturday's midday festival runs from 1pm to 4pm, and is $25 entry with bubble sports and more.

Saturday night's event is free entry and features a live performance from former The Voice contestant Isaac McGovern.

Guest speaker from the US, Eric Capaci, will also be part of the activities.

Jireh said organisers were expecting a big turnout after the positive response they'd had from the community so far.
