Man in Yeppoon Rd crash identified

UPDATE: POLICE have named a Rockhampton man who died in a car crash last night.

He was Gregory Legh, 62, who died when his car smashed into a tree on the Rockhampton-Yeppoon Road at 8.45pm on Monday.

The green Mitsubishi Lancer he was driving was virtually destroyed in the collision which occurred about two kilometres past the Cawarral turn-off.

Mr Legh, who was travelling towards Rockhampton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

The death is the 17th on the Central region’s roads this year.
