Rolleston floods 1, car 0

ROADS out of Rolleston to Rockhampton and Blackwater are now accessible, police say.

The 19-year-old driver of this vehicle (pictured at Panorama Creek on the Dawson Highway) escaped unharmed on Monday.

He was issued with an infrigement notice for disobeying the road closed sign.

Yesterday Rolleston was isolated by floodwaters from the Comet River and Panorama Creek.

Today water is rising at the township, 297km south-west of Rockhampton, with residents bracing for a number of peaks to come from the Carnarvon Creek in the next few days.

The town is still isolated to the south by floodwaters, with the State Emergency Service delivering mail and supplies to the town by boat from Springsure.
