Save water for the fires

ROCKHAMPTON residents are being asked to cut their water use to help the fire-fighting effort.

Queensland Fire and Rescue Service yesterday joined Rockhampton Regional Council in an appeal for residents not directly affected by the bushfire threat to conserve water.

In a joint statement they said lower demand for water would boost water pressure where it was needed to protect properties.
