Schapelle Corby's mum pops champagne as daughter freed

SCHAPELLE Corby's mother says she can't wait to cook her daughter a roast and have her toes in the sand of a Gold Coast beach again.

Rosleigh Rose has been celebrating with family in her Loganlea, Queensland home with champagne as her daughter was released from prison in Bali.

She told Seven News says she was still shaking half an hour after Corby was released and said she refused to believe it would happen until she saw it with her own eyes.

Popping the champagne and raising a toast, she said: "This is for you, my beautiful baby daughter, I love you and I will be with you soon.''

Ros was joined by about 10 relatives and friends, including Schapelle Corby's aunt and a friend, Katrina Richards, who went with her to Bali when she was arrested for carrying drugs.

"It was just so beautiful to see my beautiful Schapelle coming out from those doors,'' she said of watching the live television coverage.

"I was cuddling her as she was doing it and helping her through the media,'' Rosleigh said.

Schapelle's sister Mercedes and other family members were with her at the prison as she was released.

The excitement of it all was too much for one relative.

"Oh my God, oh my God,'' she shouted.

"What can I can? What can I say.''

"Happiness. Happiness. Happiness.''

"Our little girl is out of jail.''

"She's out of prison. She's free.''
