School holiday fun in Rocky

THE joy of January brings about hot summer days, school holidays and kids saying 'I'm bored, cos there is nothing to do'.

To prove that is not true, here is a list of lots of fun activities aimed to entertain the kids.

No matter what your budget is, there is something fun for everyone.

Winter Magic ice skating is at the Robert Schwarten Pavilion, Rockhampton Showgrounds until January 22. Daily sessions: 8am-10am, 10.15am-12.45pm and 1.30pm-4pm.

Evening sessions: 7pm-9pm Monday to Thursday, then Friday and Saturday 6pm to 8pm plus a disco session 8.30pm to 10.30 pm. Prices online www.wintermagic.biz.

Rockhampton cinemas- Catch some of the latest action on the big screen, with new movies like Happy Feet 2, The Adventures of Tintin, Alvin and the Chipmunks, We Bought a Zoo and Puss In Boots screening now at Birch, Carroll and Coyle, Rockhampton cinemas.

Capricorn Coast Trail Rides- Take a ride on horseback at Capricorn Coast Trail Rides, near The Oaks Yeppoon Rd. Learn to ride classes are being held on January 11 and 19. Intermediate riders three-day kids riding camp starts January 16. Bookings on 4939 2611.
