Five things to keep kids busy during school holidays
KEEPING children occupied during school holidays can be a challenge.
Here are five ideas to keep kids busy:
1 Drumming workshops
GET into the rhythm and discover how to use a djembe drum with a South African drummer at the Rockhampton Regional Library tomorrow. The free workshop runs from 3pm to 4.30pm and bookings are essential.
2 Loom band workshops
KEEP the kids busy with a colourful and fun loom bracelet weaving workshop at Stockland Rockhampton. The workshop runs from 10am to 2pm on Monday, June 30 and Friday, July 4.
3 Circus School
LEARN hula hooping, juggling, trapeze, acrobalance, dance and gymnastics at the PCYC's Circus School. Running on Sundays from 11am, a casual visit costs just $15.
4 Painting faces and places workshops
LET your inner-artist out with two workshops at the Rockhampton Art Gallery.
Painting Faces runs on Wednesday, July 9 from 11am to 12pm for ages five to eight and 1.30pm to 3pm for ages nine to 16.
Painting Places runs at the same times on Thursday, July 10.

5 Superhero art and story workshop
UNLEASH your creativity and learn how to draw warriors, superheros, action figures and ninjas before developing your own multimedia short story.
The workshop runs from 10am to noon on July 9 at North Rockhampton Library.
