Seeney knocked back from committee chair, wants answers

FORMER Deputy Premier Jeff Seeney is demanding answers as to why Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk knocked back a nomination for him to chair the Parliamentary Crime and Corruption Committee.

It is understood Ms Palaszczuk was set to put forward LNP MP Trevor Watts, who is the committee's acting chair.

She refused the LNP's nomination of Mr Seeney.

At the committee's meeting on Wednesday, the Callide MP reportedly claimed it was unacceptable he was refused because they disliked him and felt he was a "rude bastard".
