Serious internal injuries after motorcyclist hit by sedan

POLICE are investigating a serious traffic crash in Annerley this evening in which a 36-year-old man sustained serious injuries.

Preliminary investigations suggest that around 5.30pm, the man was travelling along Waterton Street on a motorcycle when he has lost control at the intersection with Lothian Street and fallen from his bike.

A sedan travelling on Lothian Street has then collided with the man.

The 36-year-old Fernvale man serious internal injuries and was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

The driver of the sedan, a 48-year-old woman, was not injured.

Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing.
