Severe thunderstorm warning for Central Coast and inland
Update 5.36pm - WIND gusts over 80kms an hour were recorded at Rockhampton Airport this afternoon but despite the big blow from two lines of storms, there were no reports of damage.
By 5pm, Rockhampton had received 17.4mm of rain.
According to the weather bureau, there are still active storm cells in the area and the unsettled conditions are expected to continue until the end of the week.
Update 12.30 - The bureau says two lines of storms are slowly rolling in now to the west of Emerald and are likely to hit Rockhampton and the coastal areas late this afternoon or early evening.
A SEVERE thunderstorm waring has been issued for parts of the Central Coast and Whitsundays, Central Highlands and Coalfields and Central West forecast districts.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to develop and produce damaging winds and large hailstones in the warning area over the next several hours.
Locations which may be affected include Emerald, Longreach, Clermont, Isisford, Barcaldine and Moranbah.
