Hail, damaging winds forecast for Toowoomba
UPDATE: Toowoomba and the Lockyer Valley are now part of a severe thunderstorm warning.
The Bureau of Meteorology issued its latest warning at 2.15pm.
Large hailstones and damaging winds are forecast for the Toowoomba region over the next couple of hours.
Locations that may be affected include Toowoomba, Warwick, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Dalby, Coolangatta, Ipswich, Moreton Bay and islands, Kingaroy, Stanthorpe, Caboolture and Taroom.
2PM: Severe thunderstorms are rolling towards Toowoomba and the eastern parts of the Darling Downs.
The Bureau of Meteorology's latest severe thunderstorm warning was issued at 1.31pm.
Thunderstorms producing large hailstones are damaging winds are expected to affect Warwick, Dalby, Stanthorpe, Oakey, Taroom, Inglewood, Clifton, Pittsworth, Jondaryan, Chinchilla, Miles and Moonie over the next several hours.
The next warning is due to be issued at 4.35pm.
1PM: Thunderstorms are brewing to Toowoomba's west with the Bureau of Meteorology issuing a severe weather warning.
Severe thunderstorms with damaging winds and large hailstones are forecast to hit parts of the western Darling Downs over the next several hours.
Locations that may be affected include Chinchilla, Miles, Moonie and Tara.
Thunderstorms have been forecast for Toowoomba and eastern parts of the Darling Downs later this afternoon.
