LET'S talk about sex, baby.

It's a topic most people will shy away from, but not Isiah McKimmie.

The sexologist is ready to give advice and tips to locals dealing with issues from body confidence to the bedroom.

The 32-year-old said she used to be shy and awkward years ago, which led her to attract unhealthy relationships in her adult life.

But when Isiah stumbled upon a tantra workshop, it changed her life.

A decade later and she is a qualified relationship therapist and sexologist, now heading to Rockhampton to teach women how to feel better about themselves and their body and improve relationship with their partner.

Isiah said there was not enough education for women on having great relationships and enjoying intimacy in their relationship.

"Research has shown a great bedroom life can benefit the whole relationship and a woman's confidence," she said.

"These are really important areas of our lives, though unfortunately we rarely get to talk about them or find out how we can improve things.

"I want to help people discover self love and have more intimacy in the bedroom."

Isiah said the book and movie franchise 50 Shades of Grey has allowed for women to be more open about sexuality and their relationships.

"I definitely think the popularity of 50 Shades of Grey has made it far more acceptable for women to want to explore and learn tips in the bedroom," Isiah said.

The Sydney woman said her workshops focused on educating women around their bodies and how to seek more harmony in the bedroom, while women can learn a few tantra moves as well.

"I think women can be a little unsure of what to expect when coming to something like this, but really, it's like a mixture of a yoga class and a great afternoon chatting with your best girlfriends," she said.
