Sharks carve up the competition

YEPPOON Sharks took to the water on Australia Day in the annual Club 2 Club Challenge, which consists of a 400m run and 600m swim.

The primary school division proved to be an exciting race and saw a tie with Isabella Paskin and Kayla Osbourne.

The winner of the high school girls was Lana Rogers, with Hannah Thompson second and Carla Thompson third.

Both girls had an incredible race.

The high school boys' event was won by Harley Messersmith, who was outstanding.

The open women winner was Dahlas Rogers and first place in the veterans was Yeppoon's Peter O'Shaughnessy.

All swimmers train at Yeppoon Aquatic Centre and are members of the Yeppoon Sharks Swimming Club, which meets on Wednesdays, 6pm.
