Rockhampton trio's strong sporting pedigree set to shine

THE Confraternity and QISSN carnivals will be a family affair for the Hetheringtons.

The three sporting siblings will don the green and blue of The Cathedral College for the five-day rugby league and netball competitions which start today.

Kobe will captain TCC's First XIII, the rugby league team which also includes his twin brother Zac, while sister Laynii will line up with TCC's netball team for her third year in QISSN.

The trio has a strong sporting pedigree.

Dad Jason is a former Maroons and Australian rugby league player while mum Kym represented Queensland in both netball and basketball.

Laynii said sport had always been a family affair and the siblings liked to support each other from the sidelines whenever they had the chance.

She said they would also relish the opportunity to play in front of their home crowd during the week.
