Sign on to become a Swannie

SWANNIES of all ages - boys, girls, men and women - now's your chance to go down and sign on with the Yeppoon Swans Australian Football Club for the 2012 season.

Make your way down to the Swan Park at Cordingly St on February 4.

Junior sign-on runs from 10am-2pm, with the cricket match starting at 10.30am.

A sausage sizzle will be provided.

Senior sign-on starts at 2pm, with the cricket match to follow.

Training for all grades - 13s and up - starts Tuesday, February 7, however pre-season has already started, so feel free to go along and participate.

Swanettes, women's AFL, pre-season training has also started.

Coach Tamara Creamer would love to see former girls and plenty of new faces at training on Tuesdays from 6pm-7.30pm at the basketball stadium in Cordingly St. No boots necessary while at the stadium.

The Swans still have a couple of positions around the club which need filling - a club president and a gate keeper.

The latter would suit a pensioner.

A small remuneration is available.

The club hopes to see a good turn-out for sign-on and training on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm.
