Trucks no go on Capricorn Hwy after crash at Kalapa Hall

9.55am: A MAN is currently in an ambulance on his way to Rockhampton Hospital after a single vehicle rollover near Stanwell.

The accident occurred on the Capricorn Highway around 8.45am near the Kalapa Hall.

The man is believed to be in his 50s and has a head injury.

The man was found trapped in his car and QFRS were able to get him out around 9.10am.

Police are currently sending an investigative team out to the accident scene.

The highway is expected to be blocked for the next two hours.

Cars and light vehicles are currently being diverted on the Railway Access Rd, but trucks are not allowed through.

9.30AM: REPORTS indicated the Capricorn Highway could be closed for two hours as police investigated the scene of a single vehicle accident.

Reports indicate the crash occurred near a railway access road, which police are directing cars to use. However, it is believed trucks will not be able to get through.

It is believed the driver of the vehicle has been taken to the Rockhampton Hospital. Their condition is unknown at this point in time.

9am: THE Capricorn Highway is closed as emergency services attend a single vehicle crash near Stanwell, according to reports.

It is believed a woman is trapped in a vehicle.

The crash has occurred near the Kalapa Hall, west of Stanwell.
