Six shots fired into unit in home invasion attempt

SIX shots have been fired into a unit south of Brisbane by a group of people trying to force their way inside.

Police said two people inside the Creek Rd, Mt Gravatt, unit were woken about 2.40am by a sledge hammer being used to force entry to the front door.

Those inside the unit weren't hurt and the group fled after failing to get into the third-floor residence.

After damaging the door, a firearm was then discharged into the unit," police said.
