Skaters inline for big things

Rocky Skate Club's Anders Blines and Mitchell Pailthorpe will soon be suiting up in the green and gold.

The pair's performances at the Inline Hockey National Championships in Adelaide in October earned them selection in their individual age group Australian sides.

A vital part of Queensland's silver medal-winning efforts, Blines was selected to represent Australia in the 14- and-under division at the Oceania titles being held at the Gold Coast next April.

Pailthorpe heads off to New Zealand to compete at the Bauer Cup tournament in Auckland a week after the Oceanias next year after he was selected in the 12-and-under team.

Mitchell and Anders are Rocky Skate Club's first junior Australian representatives.

The pair was joined in the Queensland colours at the Inline Hockey National Championships by five other players from the Rocky Skate Club.

Martin Helger, Bailey Jacobsen, Ryan Jacobsen and Mitchell Pailthorpe all played in the 11-and-under division, bringing home silver for their state, and should have been joined by Cody Baker who was due to line-up with her teammates before suffering an injury.
