Toowoomba mates skoll a beer bong ... everywhere man

SOME people travel in search of the finest cuisine, others in pursuit of love.

Toowoomba's Matt "Skeg" Anderson and Chris "Afghan" D'Alton are no different, their adoration for the taste of beer taking them all over the country.

The duo call themselves The Beerbong Buddies and have spent the past three years skolling ales in front of Australia's many "big-thing" monuments.

The beer bong they refer to consists of a funnel and two hoses, allowing the friends to sink a bottle's worth in a matter of seconds.

It may sound like an exercise in irresponsible boozing, and the legality is questionable to say the least, but Mr Anderson swears it is all for a good cause - spreading mateship and creating memories.

One of the pair's most memorable beers was imbibed, naked, on top of Mt Kosciuszko.

"We do a few trips every year, to places far and wide - especially wide, considering that's half of it," Mr Anderson said.

"The cold, crisp taste of beer relaxes us and keeps us happy (we are not alcoholics)."
