READER'S VIEW: Something should be done about Andrew Johns
I'M amazed how the NRL and southern media have gone hush-hush over the latest antics of Andrew (Joey) Johns.
If he wasn't the NSW pin-up boy and just another above average player it would be spread far and wide.
Seeing this isn't the first time he has made a fool of himself and rugby league, something should be done.
If what he said to the woman in question and also being drunk in front of children is true, he should be kicked out of rugby league, all TV commitments and being an Immortal of this great game. (He's already lowered the standard of being an Immortal.)
The reason he was named an Immortal ahead of Mal Meninga was because Mal is a Queenslander. (We can't have everything that rugby league has to offer).
Rugby league needs people who kids can look up to, not a self-confessed drug user and a person who seems to have no respect for women, his own image or us, the supporters, of the Greatest Game Of All.
The older I get, our NRL team is getting closer.
