Songbird Seleen supports QCWA with CQ shows this month

STANDING up as a strong woman in Australian music is what Seleen McAlister is all about.

That would explain why her single She's Getting Stronger has resonated in such a positive way with so many.

It has climbed to high points in numerous charts throughout Australia and has been in the top 10 country tracks chart for 16 weeks.

"This is a song for women about women, to empower, to inspire and to embrace new beginnings," the country singer said.

Her latest tour reinforces that message which she'll be bringing to Central Queensland this weekend and on December 30.

The 2016 Golden Guitar nominee is embarking on the exciting tour to benefit the Queensland CWA.

"Community is so important to me," Seleen said.

"The CWA is a proud and distinguished organisation of strong women who have been banding together to support women, families and communities for over a hundred years. I am proud to partner with them on this tour."

The She's Getting Stronger Tour to lending a hand to ladies on the land will get under way at the Keppel Bay Sailing Club on Saturday night and then move on to the Great Western Hotel in Rockhampton on December 30, with a slew of dates from March next year.

Seleen's new album will be released in March, and her latest single On The Inside is a tender and emotional song that has lasted the test of time.

Song co-writer Allan Caswell said about Seleen: "I just love the way Seleen sings. I knew from the moment I heard her sing in Mildura I had to write with this girl and get her singing my songs."

Seleen will be joined by special guests throughout the tour which will buoy spirits.

All money raised will go straight back into community projects overseen by the CWA.

Seleen has just signed a partnership with Linemac Toyota for the She's Getting Stronger Tour in 2016, it was announced yesterday.
