Spice up your night with serve of salsa

FLAVOURS and sounds from all over the world will converge on Yeppoon Town Hall tomorrow night for the Afro-Cuban Jazz and Salsa Party.

Announced this week was a new act on the bill - singer-songwriter Seth Lewis who will bring a Spanish flavour all the way from Melbourne.

Seth's charismatic blend of Spanish folk classics and original music will complement the evening's program, which starts at 6.30pm.

Throughout the evening there will be non-stop live music with Seth performing his acoustic sets in the bar area, in between the three other acts.

From 9pm onwards, the main act and internationally renowned eight-piece Afro-Cuban salsa ensemble Chukale will fire up the dance floor with two energetic sets of Afro-Cuban hits and classics in their only Central Queensland performance.

The 2015 Afro-Cuban extravaganza is sure to sweep you away with a concoction of world sounds, improvisation, experimental jazz and heart-thumping dance floor grooves.

Brisbane Latin-jazz trio Cleon's Three and local jazz fusion quintet Indaba will turn up the heat for audiences during their exciting and energetic performances.

Cleon's Three will also perform in Rockhampton on Saturday from 7pm at The Workshop in East St, as well as hosting their own music workshop from 2pm that day alongside Gustavo Cerejio.
