Splendour tickets still available

TICKETS for Splendour in the Grass are still available – the first time in at least five years punters have had such a luxury to prepare for the Woodford festival.

The world's most controversial hip-hop artist Kanye West is the top ticketed band, backed up by British mega-act Coldplay.

As with previous years, the line-up is phenomenal yet fans have not been in the usual rush to spend the $390 for the three-day festival from July 29 or $510 to camp onsite.

Tickets went on sale through Moshtix.com.au on May 4, unfortunately at the same moment that Westpac and St George banks were struggling to handle credit card transactions.

Half an hour after tickets officially went on sale festival organisers took to radio to assure ticket seekers that the processing of payments had been fixed.

Sales were eventually suspended to be resumed the following morning.

Last year, with Florence and the Machine and The Pixies headlining, it took less than six hours for the 30,000 tickets to sell out.

Before its move to Woodfordia, in 2009 with MGMT and Bloc Party as top billing, it sold out in 75 minutes.

Tickets can be bought online at www.moshtix.com.au, or by calling 1300 438 849.
