Skye spares no expense for kids on school holidays
WHEN it comes to her children local mum Skye Hanley spares no expense.
The Rockhampton mother of two says the majority of her money is spent on her children but she doesn't mind at all.
Trey Brebner, 6, and Chloe Brebner, 2, are especially spoilt by their mum when it comes to school holiday time.
Skye believes it is important to keep her children busy on the holidays while spending quality time with them before they head back to "normal life".
"It's important to do things with your kids on the holidays so you can keep them entertained, keep them learning things, seeing new things," she said.
"It's really good to hear Rocky is spending the money on their kids; it is worth it."
Skye, who was visiting the Heritage Village with her children yesterday, said most of the time she tried to fill the holidays with as many activities as she could.
"We normally do something at least once a week on holidays," she said.
Although a lot of money was definitely spent on holidays, Skye said when it came to spending money on the kids, most of it went towards feeding them.
"I find I spend a fair bit on food… yeah, I do," she laughed.
When Skye found out how Central Queensland and Rockhampton parents placed when it came to spending money on their kids she was surprised and impressed.
"Yeah, it's really good to hear Rocky is spending the money on their kids; it is really worth it," she said.
Grandmother Hazel Hanley admitted she tended to spend a fair bit on the grandchildren as well when it came to food and holidays.
